About Us
- Two Girls and a Barrel
- Healdsburg, CA
- We are not wine experts, nor are we professional writers – but we are enthusiastic about both. In particular, we are determined to spend the next year or so learning as much as we can about wine: how to talk about it, how to drink it, how to appreciate it. Each as the partner of a professional chef we are eager to contribute to the culinary experience. As ‘kitchen widows’, we have the luxury of spending our weekends in any way we choose. What better choice than to explore the lovely wine region we live in, take in the terroir and drink fabulous wine! (See below for the wine regions we'll venture into.)

DC - Denise's Chef
Lees - a wine pourer who has been in the industry way too long, is usually intoxicated by 2pm, forgets which wine you are "on" in your tasting schedule, and tells "true" stories from years of pouring which are questionably appropriate.
Legs - a young, attractive winery pourer who has little actual knowledge of wine (however, may possess some memorized tid-bits pertaining to the winery in which s/he works) and has clearly been hired for other reasons.MC - Marissa's Chef
Overipe - refers to obnoxious tasters who have visited too many wineries in one day.
Tasting Room PhD - a Tasting Room employee who is profoundly knowledgeable about wine-making, viticulture and history.
Tooth-stainers - a couple or group who are recent wine aficionados (connoisseurs nouveau) and believe they are experts and use all the fancy language.
